Cheap frames usually come in moldings that framers cut and assemble to the size they need. This leaves a visible joining mark in the corners, and if the molding has carvings, the carvings won't join smoothly (click "MORE PICS" to see an example of a joined molding not made by EPSILON). The third picture when you click "MORE PICS" shows a machine-made carved frame. Machine-made frames do not age well whereas hand-carved frames become increasingly beautiful over time. Requiring custom service for small quantities, hand-carved custom made frames are the highest quality frames available.
